Exhaust

The exhaust system provides a means for spent combustion gases to exit the vehicle. The exhaust system also removes harmful emissions prior to exiting the vehicle. There are two common design types for the exhaust system, which are single and dual.

In-line engines use single exhaust systems, which have the exhaust ports all on the same side of the engine. V-engines may also use a single exhaust system. A V-engine equipped with a single exhaust system typically utilizes a Y-shaped exhaust pipe. The pipe joins the two manifolds of a V-engine under the center of the powertrain and continues on as a single exhaust system.

If you believe you have an exhaust leak please CONTACT US to setup a time so that one of our expert technicians can inspect the exhaust system of your vehicle.

Catalytic Converter

The catalytic converter, referred to by many as a ‘cat’, is a critical emissions control component component on modern vehicles. When the engine’s fuel trim system is working properly the converter is a highly-efficient and effective emissions control device.
